Intraoral Cameras

One of the most basic challenges in dentistry is simply explaining to a patient what is going on in their mouth. If a problem is present, and our team spots it, simply telling someone about it isn’t always enough to convince them just how necessary treatment might be. With our intraoral camera, however, we can show rather than tell. This small device captures close-up images of the teeth and gums we can display on a nearby monitor so you get a personalized tour of your smile at each appointment.

All-Digital X-Rays

A lot is going on in your mouth that can’t be seen with the naked eye. In order to examine the roots of your teeth as well as the nearby bone, we need to take X-rays. Rather than relying on slow film, we only use digital radiography. It is much faster, taking only a few seconds to capture images, plus they reveal much more detail. Not to mention, the entire process exposes patients to 80-90% less radiation by comparison, which is always good news!

3D Cone Beam Imaging

If we need to look at just a few teeth, a regular X-ray is great, but to diagnose more complex problems, that’s where our cone beam scanner is extremely useful. Rather than capturing a single image, it takes several scans of a patient’s head and pieces them together to generate a 3D model that shows all of the teeth, both jaws, and the adjacent structures. By being able to see everything, we can more accurately determine what is going on as well as plan more complicated procedures like implant placement.

Digital Impression System

The old way of taking impressions isn’t fun for anyone, both the dentist and the patient, which is why we don’t use it! Instead of having you bite into a mold filled with messy dental putty, we can instead scan your mouth with a small device. In about five minutes, we’ll have a perfect digital model of your teeth that we can send to the lab to ensure your restorations look and fit perfectly.

Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry

Treating the gums is very sensitive business, so rather than using scalpels and sutures like most dental offices, we rely on our AMD soft tissue laser. With a concentrated beam of light, it’s able to remove infected or excess gum tissue painlessly while reducing bleeding to the point of not existing. Most patients don’t feel anything during a laser procedure, and post-treatment swelling is drastically decreased so people can enjoy their result as soon as possible.
